Every family has a story, and God is still writing yours!
There’s beauty in every chapter,
even the messy ones.
I’m Erin Mashaw—speaker, author, and long-time champion of marriage and parenting. My passion is helping couples and parents create meaningful connection, navigate real-life challenges, and invite God into the everyday moments that shape their homes.
Hi, I’m Erin!
For over 20 years, I’ve been helping families navigate the fun, messy, and meaningful world of parenting and marriage. I’m the COO of Birds on a Wire, where we equip moms with practical, biblical wisdom to parent with confidence, and co-author (with Jim Burns) of A Student’s Guide to Sexual Integrity. I’ve also partnered with North Point Ministries, Lighthouse Family Retreat, and HomeWord to create resources that strengthen families and spark connection.
My husband, Reece, and I have been married for 23 years and are raising four fantastic kids—Gavin (19), Kate (16), and twins Luke & Wyatt (13). We’ve lived through toddlers, teens, life transitions, and everything in between… and I can promise you, there’s hope (and humor!) in every season.
Here’s the thing:
Families grow stronger when they slow down long enough to really hear each other and invite God into their everyday moments.
That’s what I love helping people do.

Talking about sex with your kids doesn’t have to feel awkward, overwhelming, or reactive. In this session, Erin helps parents understand God’s bigger vision for healthy sexuality—one that goes far beyond “the talk” and moves toward shaping character, identity, and wisdom over time. Drawing from her upcoming book with Jim Burns, she breaks down age-appropriate conversations, common fears, and the cultural pressures kids are navigating today.
Parents will learn how to build trust, keep conversations open, and talk about body, boundaries, identity, desire, and digital influences in a grounded, biblical, and shame-free way. This talk gives moms and dads the confidence to lead with truth, compassion, and clarity—starting right where they are and building on it over time. -
This talk helps parents make wise, age-appropriate decisions about technology, phones and social media while keeping faith and connection at the center.
